The judge has granted name suppression to prevent negative fallout on something he has decided was accidental. If the Judge had decided it was a deliberate act and then let him off you might have a point. He has talked his way out of it and it doesn't seem to be anything to do with pity. In any case I don't much care about cats, he could have gone on a cat shooting rampage and I wouldn't be all that upset over it. Not saying it's right, just saying it's not really news worthy. Leave this stuff for the courts to deal with it, that's their job. I don't like news storys about legal proceedings and court cases, we never have all the facts and no story or opinion is ever unbiased. The only way to make an informed decision is to serve on the Jury or sit in on the case. You can't decide guilt or innocence based on fragments of a case in a news story. |

| 1368051 | 2014-02-25 09:04:00 | Years ago I had a garage which cats insisted on marking their territory along the back wall. One cat used to piss down the air vents of my Holden EH. Anyway I bought an air rifle and when a cat reversed up to the shed I would shoot it up the arse. After a while they go the message and went elsewhere. Cats do no end of damage to wild life, and should be licensed the same as dogs. | mzee (3324) | ||
