I dont know squire I donated it to the Ford Ten club in Swanson along with another 6 in parts. They are still keeping the rego live I had in on hold. Went to move it to mow lawn and the drivers door slumped onto the running board.

1367810 2014-02-17 05:44:00 Hi, so the wife is driving us back home and we are on a 2 lane road, it is not a motorway. I say to her she should move over into the left lane to allow any to pass on the right. She says she doesnt have too as she is doing 50k etc etc....Well, we had a big argument over that, and im telling her, it is inconsiderate to sit on the limit in the right hand lane...blah, blah, I now have to get the bus home..LOL.
I have been driving around 33 yrs now, her about 10. As I did my test way back when, i really couldnt tell who is right other than its inconsiderate and in the UK, it is the law...

Any thoughts?

really need details as to what road.
it sounds like city/town streets. in which case there is no rule as to what lane you must stay in. in some cases you have to stay in the right hand lane due to parked cars etc. also left lane is used by those coming and going from side streets so its often best to stay in the right lane untill you are close to the street you want to go to. if there is a lot of streets on the right it can pay to stay in the left lane so you don't get stuck behind those who have to wait 5 minutes before they can turn right.

open road is a different story. double lanes roads are either motorway, expressway or passing lanes.

the difference between here and the UK is its not illegal to underpass here.

I'm sure I heard a small voice saying "Grandpa, what's a running board?"

1367812 2014-02-17 07:32:00 Always keep to the left in that situation, according to my driving instructor. Renmoo (66)
1367813 2014-02-17 07:50:00 Always keep t the left. And if you're ne of these ass hole that speed up when over (or under taken) then you deserve to be off the road. Even at the speed limit you're impeding traffic. psycik (12851)
1367814 2014-02-17 08:25:00 If everyone kept left the right hand lanes would have no almost one them and that is not the case. There is no such things as a fast lane in a 30 MPH built up speed zone. If good people dont act against criminal speeders when you can they will continue to speed and break the law. prefect (6291)

Yet you advocate responding to it by speeding up to match them, AND behaving in a manner that makes the situation more dangerous to boot by driving in a way to prevent them passing you? Good job.

1367816 2014-02-17 09:00:00 LOL
theres so much traffic who gives a toss what lane you drive in. that fast car can pass anytime they like.........and get stuck behind the car thats in front of you.

1367818 2014-02-17 09:37:00 Doesn't the original post state 50km and one would presume that covers the two lane roadway, but it's not a motorway.

Lurking.
