Teachers need their pay for their mortgages etc and if it were not for the schools helping the teachers out, there would be many who would not be able to pay their mortgage. It is time that Novapay was axed and a return made to the previous system which certainly was not perfect but it did not have the problems that the teachers are facing today. |

I have an involvement with an international company, all my invoices are approved in NZ and paid out of India where all international monthly payments are made from. All employee weekly wage payments internationally are also paid from India. Staff and roles change weekly internationally with thousands of employees without problems that Nova pay has. Why the government selected Novapay when there are other programs working well and proven in the commercial world I have never understood. I do not know what software the company I refer to uses but they are only one of many companies with a similar requirements. |

Govt & Local govt never seem to be able to get this sort of thing right. They spend ridiculous amounts of other people $$ , with no real accountability after it turns to custard. I often think that when these contracts are put out for tender, that companies involved know with govt contacts they can really jack up the price & know there will be no consequential comeback if the product sold doesnt actually work. If this Novapay system had been sold to a large Private company... - they would not have been paid - they would have been sued for costs |

Also it is hard to tell just how big the problems still are, no figures are given in current reports. It may just be another easy to write beatup for the MSM. |
