1367174 2014-02-09 04:50:00 er but Plod we won.................

Yes we did. Doesn't detract from a batting collapse. Kiwis won the game in the first innings. It was ours to lose not India's to win

1367176 2014-02-09 05:20:00 I actually dont know about who did what or not........... but i thought it was a bowling problem........... but i havent watched it only just skim read articles........lol cricket doesnt really interest me.......
just sad that Ryder is so good that it drove him to drink and now its our loss to nz cricket rather than his loss........ untill he admits he really does have a prob and never drinks again this will dog him for the rest of his career and life......... its hard to shake a preconceived perception or idea ...
sad how alcohol changes people.

He's 29 years of age, he likes a drink. What 20 something doesn't. I'm a year off 40 and still get myself into a state a little to often. But wouldn't say I have a drink problem except for when the vessel is empty

1367178 2014-02-09 05:37:00 But when it becomes a front page news article, or it effects peoples lives, work, sport or home......... and it actually changes things for the worse.... in that person...........sometimes its more than having the odd drink...........

im not a big alcohol drinker at all........ and its only my opinion......

but maybe NZ cricket needs to keep looking for fresh players, there is no doubt he is good, but his consistency seems to be in the limelight......... both of his drinking and his cricket playing :(

but maybe NZ cricket needs to keep looking for fresh players,it hasn't effected his work, sport or home life. You can blame the journalists for the front page headlines. I'll admit he puts himself in awkward situations where some dickheads to have a go at him, but then that is like blaming a rape victim for what their wear

1367180 2014-02-09 07:04:00 He gets paid big $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ to "play" a sport, largely funded by you and I, the taxpayers.

Screw him and his ilk for thinking that they can be role models to the younger generation and still get away with murder.

The quicker he is dropped, the better.

The quicker he is dropped, the better.I shall quote Miley Cyrus.
“My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent. My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That’s just life.”

1367182 2014-02-09 07:25:00  I’m afraid most of the reporters around today would have heart failure if they knew about the antics of some of our previous sporting greats .

There were heaps of them that would make Jesse Ryder look like a sissy .

The Aussies have had a few too, and some of these guys seem to need booze to operate .

One little Aussie Dart Player I knew could hardly hit the board until he’d had a few, but after that he was pretty much unbeatable .

Personally, I’d ignore Jesse’s off field behavior and wheel him out in a barrow if necessary . “See you in a balls time” I’d announce as I left and that would probably ensure he got a century .

I'm afraid the Jesse Ryders of the world are only new to the PC Brigade . :D
