337119 2005-03-23 09:05:00 I have been having intermittent connection to my ISP, Paradise for several months. Does anyone else have this problem? Oldferix (5581)
337120 2005-03-23 09:20:00 Not from Upper Hutt with ADSL ;) Terry Porritt (14)
337121 2005-03-23 09:29:00 Yes, am on an ordinary dial-up connection and often need to try a few times before getting through. Finn (2140)
337122 2005-03-23 09:49:00 Hullo Finn, once connected to Paradise does your connection often cut out - though it appears to still be connected? Oldferix (5581)
337123 2005-03-23 10:15:00 I've been with paradise for years on the whole getting good service and no trouble connecting, but lately things have changed.

Try to connect and things hang for ages and then can't establish a connection - have to dialup several times before I can get on.

Also another recent problem is invalid username/password. Even though nothing has been changed since last session I have to reenter my password before it's accepted.

337124 2005-03-23 10:34:00 Hi Lucy, it seems that you are having exactly the same problems that I have. Like you I have been with Paradise for a number of years and have been disappointed with their service of late. Perhaps we need to change to another more efficient ISP. Thanks for your reply. 337125 2005-03-23 10:59:00 The hassle of having to change email address etc is what stops me changing to another ISP . :@@:

Hopefully it's a temporary glitch and things will get back to normal soon . Mind you I haven't rung the help desk to complain and I suppose lots of others haven't bothered either . Maybe if we did they may get their act together .

Cheers Lucy

337126 2005-03-23 11:28:00 Good on ADSL in Lower Hutt.

If it's any help, I've heard a few grizzles from Xtra dialuo customers as well. The theory goes, that Telecom is trying to encourage people to move to higher speed internet any way they can, pure rumour of course

337127 2005-03-23 11:35:00 Have Paradise dialup and have noticed as of late that the connection will be fine then suddenly it stops connecting to sites though the connection will still be active. I know they had the publicized incident a couple of months back when someone tried to hack them which caused a lot of problems, so I can only wonder if they are having the same problem again. 337128 2005-03-23 12:42:00 Could possibly be a peering problem. I not sure whether that would affect dialup more than broadband. Ninja would know. Murray P (44)
