| 336843 | 2005-03-22 09:11:00 | I have just discovered that NAV live update changed the scheduled task time for NetDetect from multiple checks 'every 5 minutes' to a check 'every 4 hours'. This occured on 30/1/05. The Help section in NAV now says that 4 hours is the default setting. Previously it was for multiple times. The only reason I checked the Scheduled Tasks was because I was aware that I was no longer seeing regular notification that the virus definitions had been updated - the little yellow box has not appeared at the bottom left of the screen for a while. I update manually every 2 weeks though. Has anyone else had their scheduled task time changed like this? Or know why Symantec did this? |

This may have to be done a few times till Net Detect learns. as it could default back to every 4 hours. It is a pain I Know. It happens when Liveupdate is updated to a new version. I think it is because of broadband connections being on all the time. where as Dialup is on only short periods. :dogeye: |
