2005-03-25 00:29:00 On a network with more than 2 computers, is it possible to share a folder with only 1 computer, so the others can't even see it. Phil B (648)
2005-03-25 00:32:00 I don't think so (but then Ive never tried it)

Once you share a folder, its shared for all

2005-03-25 00:34:00 I think it is possible. You can assign a folder access right to a specific computer that you want, but I am not too sure how. Cheers  Renmoo (66)
2005-03-25 00:48:00 You can do it if the folder is in your user profile in documents & settings. I want to do it with any folder on any hard drive Phil B (648)
2005-03-25 00:57:00 What are the OS'es on the other computers? Dannz (1668)
2005-03-25 01:00:00 All Xp. Some home, some pro Phil B (648)
2005-03-25 01:15:00 It is possible but the one computer that needs to be able to view it will have to type it in manually just add $ to the end of the share name Dannz (1668)
2005-03-25 01:24:00 Possible with XP pro. You have to enable Advanced File Sharing not Simple File Sharing then set permissions etc.
