| 337405 | 2005-03-24 03:42:00 | Hi people has anybody installed Ark Linux 2005.1, As I am wondering is there a way to specify which partition to install it on because I do not want to lose XP. XP is on my C: (hda1). On drive number 2 (hdb) I have 3 partitions 1 I use for XP also but I want to install it on last 2 partitions 1gig (Swap file) and 40 (for Ark linux) so I can still dual boot. The download site should have a text file in that same directory as the ISO's which state what the MD5 sum should be. If your generated MD5 sum does not match the official one's, then your download is corrupt. Do you have a MD5 checker? Are you doing this on Windows or Linux? Linux has an inbuilt native MD5 checker, called md5sum which is run from command line - man md5sum gives more information. :) |

| 337412 | 2005-03-24 07:51:00 | Couldnt check md5sum as after I burnt the iso i must have deleted it from my system. But Chill suggested I go to their irc channel and I am getting good help from one of the users im currently re-downloading the iso then we are going to rsync (im using windows xp at the mo) to get the missing files or something.
