| 338228 | 2005-03-26 08:02:00 | I know the answer to this is simple but I have just forgotten what to do.I have recently reinstalled Win ME on 2 of my own computers(don't tell Bill!).One works perfectly with the basic resolution of 800 x 600 in 16 bit high colour. However the other one seems stuck in 640 by 480 in 16 colours only and cant be changed.I seem to recall that there was an icon on the task bar where one could adjust this. How do I get it to appear? Or is there another solution? | amyes5 (2773) | ||

If you can't change it here either there is something wrong with your video card driver, or there is something wrong with your monitor driver, (or you've booted in safe mode; unlikely) check that these are correct. | SaAB (1292) | ||

| 338232 | 2005-03-26 08:57:00 | If I have booted in safe mode (which could be the case) how do i change to boot in "ordinary" mode? Dont press F8 to go into Safe Mode. Just let it boot into Windows. And yup if it hasnt got the right resolution, u need to find out what videocard is in it, and download and install the videocard drivers. |
