| 338113 | 2005-03-25 23:43:00 | In another thread I have just been recommended to install FireFox. I have 4 Questions about making the change, 1. What are the advantages of FireFox over IE 2. Does IE have ANY advantages over FireFox and if so what are they 3. Does FireFox release updates for security etc 4. Seeing IE is 'integrated' into windows, will FireFox have full advantages of system browsing etc, Or will i have to keep IE6 installed? Thanks J |

| 338118 | 2005-03-26 01:18:00 | I tried firefox too much hassle with the tabbed browsing . Dont think it supports RSS feeds that good either . I use Opera . Easier for tabbed browing, and RSS feeds is built in . This saves u downloading another program . And it also supports voice, if u have a mic . Not too worried about popups since I use XP SP2, and Nortons Internet firewall which deals with this . |

| 338119 | 2005-03-26 01:48:00 | Well the thing is, the only popups i get are from something on my computer... i have been unable to locate it, and it happens to all my computers user accounts. I have tried clearing all the cookies, temp internet files, tried running a norton AV scan, adaware scan, but it doesnt seem to work. I tried putting the popup's urls in the IE restricted sites zone, but then i still get the popups, only it is blank, the popup does not load, plus it is hidden 'off' the screen... when i click on the 'restore' button for the popup in the taskbar it looks like it goes below the screen area... if you caught that lol I used to use opera back in the day... i like the tabbed browsing, i dont however like firefox's tabbed browsing... does operah have any popup plugins? J |

| 338120 | 2005-03-26 02:05:00 | Opera blocks popups (there's a menu to block popups), by default. If you're using windows messenger this "spams", and may give u popups. Are you using Windows messenger?? |
