| 337966 | 2005-03-25 12:07:00 | Funny this post should come up. I was thinking only this afternoon of doing the same thing. This post reminded me. I put a watch on this post and set out to search the archives of Press F1. Came up with Audio Grabber and am trying it out at this moment (CD at present, I'll have to change some cables around - and possibly the stereo - for tapes). Program looks good, is free and comes highly rated. |

| 337967 | 2005-03-25 18:56:00 | hello, if you would like to do a search of this forum, there is quite a bit of information regarding this subject, however here are some basics: run a stereo lead from the line out, to the linein on your computer. Install software, that will allow line in recording; audiograbber is great freebie for this. after recording to the computer, run the songs through an editor to clean up pops, etc, audicity is a good freebie, and depopper will reduce the scratches. when recording, pull all volumes, with the exception of the linein volume down to zero, this will mimimize noise as well. good luck, Robby |

The power pack isn't but you won't need that * Digitally rip audio CDs (fastest & AccurateRip compatible), * Convert between audio formats & preserve ID tags, * Explorer Integration: audio info tips & columns, * Record from LPs or anything, * Volume normalize & DSP Effects, * ID tag editing [Power Pack Option], * Free from nags, popups, hidden spyware or bundleware. I've used it for years and have never found any spyware and it works very well. |
