337976 2005-03-25 09:56:00 I hear that Media Player 10 is worth installing. Is this correct?
Do I have to uninstall ver 9 first?
How do I uninstall ver 9? I can't see it in Add/Remove Programs.

Many thanks.

Pat.

337977 2005-03-25 10:06:00 V10 isnt too bad. Nope it'll install over v9 of WMP.

You have to have XP to install it tho.

337978 2005-03-25 11:31:00 Yup, WMP 10 is much better than WMP 9. It have more simplified tabs like Rip, Burn, Sync etc. Cheers :p Renmoo (66)
337979 2005-03-25 12:09:00 I have heard that it is loaded with DRM (Digital Rights Management)that in some cases can screw with your Dvd burner. B B (6979)
337980 2005-03-25 12:36:00 I agree with BB , I believe 10 is full of poorly executed code including DRM and , well , I can't see why anyone would entertain it [ mind U I ain't got XP] ... seems to me there are lots of worthwhile [ often free ] alternatives ... :o KatiMike (242)

Unless you know then it is only an opinion. Me I have it installed and it works 100% fine and better the MP9. Burns/RIPS/Plays the works.

Sure there are some DRM stuff in there so you can download music off sites but it doesn't interfere with anything else

337984 2005-03-25 20:42:00 personally I love wmp10, if it wasnt for winamps awesome feature of rememberig exactly what was in your playlist last time (without saving it) I would use wmp10 full time for everything lagbort (5041)

Stop spreading FUD FUDboy.

Yes, WMP 10 has DRM. So does WMP9, XP SP2 & 2000 SP4 (Probably got the numbers wrong, but you get the idea). And how can a piece of software screw up hardware? If it was true, it would have been cut off at the beta, and would be fixed by now.
