My system is Windows 2000 professional. When I put my destop Icons where I want them, when I next start the computer, most have moved to the left side of the screen. How do I make them stay in place? |

Try this.right click on the desktop and select arrange icons. Make sure that the "Auto arrange" is not ticked. There should be option to lock icons somewhere also.

Thanks for reply. I found the problem to be caused by a shutdown key on my keyboard, rather than using start/shutdown. It looks like the program does not have the time to save the icon positions when I crash out with the keyboard shutdown key. Damn and it was so quick too. |
