338792 2005-03-28 09:55:00 After attempting to load 7 Microsoft critical updates for Windows 98SE (of which a message box said only 2 loaded successfully) and then shutting down the computer it consistently freezes part way through starting up Windows now.
What can I do to get it working again correctly?

338793 2005-03-28 10:35:00 Are you getting an error message before it shuts down? If so, what does the error message say please Myth (110)

Reinstall Win98. Install and configure correctly a firewall. Install some anti-spyware and ignore the MS updates.

I know KB891711 update has caused freeze up problems with some win98SE setups, and I believe Microsoft acnowledged this.
