Where have D ,E , F ,dissapeared to and how can I get them and the info they contain back without lose of any files. norrol (2154)
338623 2005-03-27 22:46:00 Look in control panel / admin tools / computer management / disk management. Does D,E,F show here??

They shouldn't have been deleted if u made 4 partitions.

How did u partition the hdd before?? When u installed XP, or with some program like Partitionmagic??

338624 2005-03-28 03:30:00 No the 3 missing partitions dont show up in Control /computer management/disk management. Drive was partitioned last year with Partition Managenent and has never caused any problems until now. Drive is 40gb but is now only showing partition c size 4000.5mb the rest of the drive has dissapeared norrol (2154)

however . . .

You started with
My hard drive is 40gb and is partioned into 4 partions Then you
formated c drive only and reinstalled XP pro and ended up with
partition c size 4000 . 5mb Also
the 3 missing partitions dont show up in Control /computer management/disk management

If there is no spare space or unhealthy partitions in Disk Management then the hard drive has been repartitioned . Next step is data recovery .
