What about Pentium ???motherboard, grapics card, memory, and hard drive what should I ask for??? I play a little with photo's - not much and play simple games. Mostly into Office applications. I want it simple and fast. Budget around $2000 Have all my own software I don't want to be disappointed what else - probably my last ever computer purchase. |

| 338752 | 2005-03-28 05:30:00 | As its not going to be a gaming machine it doesn't matter too much on having the latest most expensive graphics card etc. However I would try and choose quality components. For instance an ASUS MB has a three year warranty, Seagate hard drives have a five year warranty. Make sure the power supply is of good quality - something that is often overlooked as its usually just whatever comes with the case. Go to one of the PC stores that allow you to configure a custome system online, like ascent for instance. You can start with one of their pre-configured systems around your price range and then change components to what your preferences (and budget) are. |
