338418 2005-03-27 08:40:00 I want to remove some selected restore points. Can someone help me by posting how this is done? TEEBEE (563)
338419 2005-03-27 08:44:00 i dont think you can remove selected ones, however you can remove them all by right clicking on my computer -> properties -> system restore tab -> and tick the system restore box -> click apply -> then untick the box so that you can make new restore points. Prescott (11)
338420 2005-03-27 08:47:00 Hi and Welcome to PressF1

With Restore Points in XP, you can remove all but the last one or all of them totally. You cannot pick and choose. If you wish to remove all but the very last point, then go to Start > All Programs > Accessories > System Tools > Disk Cleanup. Under the Advanced tab you will see that option. If you wish to remove all restore points, then you just need to turn off System Restore, reboot the machine and then turn it back on again. This will purge all restore points. You turn off System Restore by going Control Panel > System > Restore tab and remove the tick. Put it back after rebooting the computer to re-enable System Restore. :)
