340343 2005-04-01 11:48:00 I'm considering of buying a latop.I will be using it to play Dvd movies,Play games and a bit of uni assignments.
Should I consider a Intel laptop or a Amd laptop?I just want a very fast laptop that will last me a few years.

Some laptops have S video output which allows you to plug into a tv.The hostel tv doesn't have a s video input. Its a RGb connection.i think thats what it called.Yellow,White,Red connection. Is there an adaptor that lets you change the S video connection cable to a Rgb yellow connection ?

340344 2005-04-01 11:52:00 Nope thats a RCA connection.

I dont think it matters. Either AMD or Intel will do. It depends on how much u wanna spend, and what features / u want the laptop to have.

As for a gaming laptop?

Brand of CPU is irrilivent, the bottle neck will be in the video chipset.

If money is available,then the Asus with the AMD 64 3200 Cpu, 512mb ram,9700 video chipset,Widescreen,DVD Burner=Killer.
