340285 2005-04-01 11:43:00 occasional phone & fax interferance with jetstream.
Get one ring & stops, pick phone up & static or squeal.
Unplugged all- fax & phones & will stop & fine for awhile (a month)
No phone next to my PC or router but 3 other phones have filters. 1 double in office because of fax machine. Filters faulty or are they? Sury not! :annoyed:

340286 2005-04-01 18:17:00 First of all, welcome to PressF1. A friend of mine who has almost the same problem as you managed to solve his finally. Believe it or not, it was due to a faulty filter. Have you try using other filter? Dynalink router I am not too sure about it, but I think there are a few bad reviews about it. Cheers :) Renmoo (66)

It is definately a faulty filter. The job of the ADSL Line filter is to filter frequency of the ADSL communication, and the frequency of the voice communication. If you hear static or squeal on the line, then a filter is not doing its job. Also you will find that the ADSL will drop connection when you pick up the line.

340290 2005-04-04 21:55:00 I don't think we can tell you - how do we know? Change one and then see if you get the problem again, if so, try another etc....
Could chnage the lot I suppose but that would be expensive and unnecessary if its just one.
