im not asking for warez

my friend lost his CD Key

he wants to sell it to me , it IS a legit cd key

i bought it with real american currency

he wants to access his registry and find the CD Key Value on this specific

game.

im not asking for illegal programs either...

340077 2005-04-01 00:17:00 It might be encrypted in the registry .

XP I think encrypts most keys in the registry .

Or if it is there, look for the entry of the maker of the game in the registry, and click on the + by its name .

340078 2005-04-01 00:57:00 Open up regedit, go to edit/find

Do a search for various keywords, such as "registration", "serial", "serial number", "validation", "product_id", etc.

Or manually go into hkey_local_machine\software\Sierra\empire_earth... and have a look around.

Not sure. Think you'll need to look further. On my XP machine all my reg keys are in plain alpha/numeric.
