| 340380 | 2005-04-02 14:42:00 | Just checked on my dfi-street forum thread. Angry_games found me a beta BIOS I could use: www.dfi.com.tw Could be the thing to fix it!! I will try that tomorrow. :D |

In my case I found that if I moved to "Save settings and exit" then hit enter the settings were saved and everything was normal after that. Never did find out why F10 did not work |

| 340383 | 2005-04-03 06:42:00 | Well, seems to be going alright now after that BIOS update. No more lock-ups!! :) :) Also I can now save and exit settings in the BIOS properly as well. Must've really been incompatible with the CPU. SO thanks to Murray, Metla, Prescott, Speedy Gonzales, Mythix and Jack for your contributions. :) On the downside I think my old Asus P5P800 might be dead now. I installed the drivers for my sound card last night and it asked to reboot. Then it exited out of windows properly and just turned off. Now it won't even turn on. :@@: Random as. But now with some trial and error tactics learned in this thread I'll set it up on the desk and find out what's wrong with it. |

Powered it up, a small light on the motherboard came on, CPU fan spun for 1/4 of a second then nothing. Oh well I was only going to sell it for $100. Now I can probably take it back and get a new one, then sell that for more. :) Anyway the main thing is my new system is up and running beautifully. Can't wait for my VapoChill PE to arrive, then we'll see some action. |
