340312 2005-04-04 00:30:00 I contacted the Shop, and they got in contact with there supplier and had no luck, then i looked on the overclockers.co.nz site, and they had a supplier for the sparkle graphics card, so i contacted them, and they said that my cards werent supplied with the HDTV cable, because NZ has no HDTV. Its been a hassle, so if anyone could help me, that would be super, i guess i may have to look at sites oversea's, does any one know what the correct name for the hdtv input is?

Thats just a 7-pin s-video,and cables are supplied, though not for the RGB compoent cable you seem to be after, The closest I could find went from the normal Monitor output.

340315 2005-04-04 01:59:00 Cheers Metla, but i dont think the Nvidia options in display properties would pick this up as HDTV, so i may loose functionality here and some options will not be displayed.
Oh so it is 7 pin s-Video input, cos i noticed when i plug a 4 pin s-video into this, i had to rotate it by 90degrees, so it must use different holes
If anyone else has any ideas, please help :help:

340316 2005-04-04 02:15:00 I would just make a cable up .

Shouldnt be too hard .

Sounds like the same connection u would find on those old Amiga monitors, which I've got here (the 1084S), which use RGB and composite .

All you have to do, is find out what wires go where on an RGB connection .

340317 2005-04-04 02:41:00 making the cable up mite have to be a option, i rather not though if i can buy it. Ive learnt to research the product and all the accessories by asking the suppliers in NZ, looking up the manufacturers website just aint enough.
Its like they take the cable out, when shipping into NZ, so they can sell the cable off for extras

340318 2005-04-04 02:57:00 As I've said to you before man ( Desmond) that's a mini-din 10 pin connector, and it has enough pins to output in an RGB component signal, if your card supports the signal changes ( which the 6600GT does).

It would be a mission to make one of those cables I think, as you would first have to work out what signals each pin carries when changed using the NVIDIA control panel. I mean OK, Im not a cable maker but I'm pretty sure an average joe would struggle.

Buy one off EBay, should do the trick.

metla, was that cable you showed with the VGA-Component, in NZ. I've bee wanting to get hold of one of those to try with my laptop.
