341001 2005-04-03 01:44:00 If I have two PCs running Windows X I can open a remote desktop connection (or netmeeting connection) between the two so that I can run things on one machine from the other.

Can I do something similar with linux, so that I can control the Linux machine from a window on the windows machine?

The Windows version I'm running is xp Pro SP2. Linux is currently FC3, however I've got a handfull of different distros I could try if one works better than another for the remote desktop connection.

Cheers,

Midavalo.

I use VNC all the time to use Linux under Windows (works the other way around to). :@@:

You run the vncserver on the Linux side (you have to setup a password the first time you run it). Then run the vncviewer on the Windows side (assuming you want to do it that way around)
