| 340692 | 2005-04-02 07:39:00 | I have deleted msimn.exe and re-installed IE6 SP1 and Internet tools over the top. This only works for a short time. I then get a shutdown message. Details: ECX=00000000 DS=0167 ESI=01ab94d4 FS=4a67 EDX=00000000 ES=0167 EDI=00000000 GS=0000 Bytes at CS:EIP: 83 78 60 00 75 07 8b ce e8 d9 e4 ff ff ff 76 0c Stack dump: 01ab94d4 01540e70 00f58f04 01ab94d4 01d0c3dc 01bc0f30 00001000 00000000 00000168 01ab94d4 00000200 00000600 800c0131 01d0d430 00f59dd8 b39fe38c If I re-open OE without re-booting I don`t have access to my emails. Windows 98 is my operating system. AVG7 and Zonealarm are installed. Thanks for the help. I am John Samways at JoSam@xtra.co.nz Hastings, NZ |

As I don't have Win98 I don't know where the msimn.exe files resides on that OS but I am thinking a reinstall of OE would be a good idea. Before you do this you need to save [backup] all your OE data files. This article may help : aumha.org Read the 'How to' section on Outlook express. Depends on how desperate you are though.....as if I was you I'd wait to see if another member has a more objective resolve. But - I think I've provided some good reading until then :-) Good luck :) |
