| 340446 | 2005-04-01 21:08:00 | If I do a hard disk format and a re-install of software, do I have to re-install my motherboard drivers etc? Someone told me these drivers were locked in bios once they are installed the first time. But I'm not sure. |

And thats what the mobo cd is for. Install Windows / then the ide inf file from the cd. Then the soundcard drivers, and LAN drivers (off the mobo cd). If the mobo has onboard LAN. So, yup if u format, what u installed before you'll have to reinstall again. And if the mobo has USB 2, you'll have to install SP1 or 2 if u install XP. |
