340427 2005-04-01 19:49:00 Are you using Windows? When did you get the error message? I suspect that might be a HDD crash.... Not too sure about that.... Cheers :) Renmoo (66)
340428 2005-04-01 20:41:00 Get hijackthis, www.merijn.org

From here www.spywareinfo.com

Make a folder called HJT. Unzip hijackthis into this folder, run it, do a scan and post the log here.

340429 2005-04-01 21:16:00 What does the rest of the error message say, i.e. does it relate to a particular file or something? Myth (110)
340430 2005-04-01 21:29:00 Are you running McAfee anti-virus Safari (3993)
340431 2005-04-02 05:30:00 i have hjt and theres nothing there that seems like problem, I know what each line is. (and i dont know how to post the results here)
running win98, error message occured after running adware and removing negligible objects. And again, after shutdown + restart, while in windows explorer.
I have noticed that pc seems to be running slower and system resources sometimes dips from 97% to 83%, even though im not running anything. I even have screensaver to none. I know 83 is not terribly low, but mine has always been in the 90's.
No, i dont have mcAffee, only AVG.

340432 2005-04-02 05:37:00 If u want to post the log anyway just do a scan wait for it to bring up the info in notepad and then copy & paste it into here. Speedy Gonzales (78)
340433 2005-04-02 05:42:00 Fatal Exception Errors in Win98 are usually associated with memory problems, either conflicts with a program writing to memory, or, faulty ram. Faulty virtual device drivers .vxd, can also cause this. We don't see this now with Win XP afaik.

First thing would be to run Memtest86 to see if RAM is ok or not.

Then use Msconfig to turn off all programs at startup except for Explorer and System Tray , and see if you still get the BSOD.

If you don't, then add programs back, one at a time, until you get the error. That will help identify the program causing the problem (if that is the cause).
