340605 2005-04-02 09:12:00 Tsk tsk tsk......... If you conect the LED one way you will get light light, if you connect it the other way you get dark light.

As for the speakers, Connected one way the sound comes out, And the other way the sound goes In (Does that make it a microphne ?)

I thought everybody knew these things !!!!!!!!! :D :D :D :p PJ

340606 2005-04-02 09:14:00 I didnt say either would stuff the mobo or CPU, in the first place.

I never implied you did Speedy

All I was trying to say was what Poppa just said, one way it won't work, one way it will. But if you get the connections wrong, its not going to blow anything.

Peace:)

340608 2005-04-02 10:03:00 Reset and power switches do not depend on polarity, because they are simply completing a circuit without using the current. Growly (6)
340609 2005-04-03 01:46:00 You won't damage anything .

LEDs have a reverse voltage rating of about 5V .
So if you connect them backwards, they don't light, but they are just sitting there . Speakers are usually marked for polarity . That's only so the cone goes out when the "+"line is positive . (Or the other way around ;)) . That's called "phasing" in a multi-speaker system . Do you want to hear the BIOS beep in stereo?

Switches don't care . Two wires either get shorted or not .
