| 341055 | 2005-04-03 04:41:00 | DON'T, if it ain't broke don't try and fix it. Flashing these routers under XP is near impossible, it can be done but is very difficult, you really need to do it on a DOS box. You won't notice any real differences with the new firmware. | Dak (6610) | ||
| 341056 | 2005-04-03 09:05:00 | um..yes i know that.. i don't mind dos though.. jz not sure if updating was worth all the trouble i've read from some sites saying SPI's effectiveness depends on specific piece of hardware and the people who made it or something..how not every SPI is the same or has the same effectiveness.. um..for those who got the same router..did dse do a good job?? |

Downloaded the update drivers and when i saw that they had to be upgraded only via USB I deleted them.. |

| 341058 | 2005-04-03 22:44:00 | I managed to upgrade to the latest firmware(10.1) usb cable successfully. the main changes in it are firewall(which includes access control list), and web management interface and something else. I recommend you only do it if you have experience with it. Other wise take it to them, they will charge around $45 to do it. |
