340655 2005-04-02 06:28:00 I get tired of rebooting into linux

are there any programs that allow you to use Linux in Windows?

Apart from VMware and MS Virtual PC

340656 2005-04-02 07:22:00 I had the same problem up until 2001 when I solved it by getting rid of MSWindows. I haven't looked back since! johnd (85)
340657 2005-04-02 07:33:00 Both AMD and Intel are coming out with vrtualisation chips later this year or next, that will allow you to run multiple OS's at the same time. Apart from that, currently you'll need software like VMware or a big iron computer. Murray P (44)
340658 2005-04-02 09:11:00 PearPC (http://pearpc.sourceforge.net) is an emulator that allows you to run PowerPC operating systems under Windows. If it can do Mac OS X I don't see why it couldn't do a powerpc build of Linux. Jeremy (1197)

340663 2005-04-03 01:56:00 With CoLinux you can download a 80MB compressed image which extracts to a 2GB Gentoo install Dannz (1668)
340664 2005-04-03 02:35:00 Run your Windows applications under Linux. ;) The speed at which emulations run depends a lot on the efficiency of the hosting OS. Graham L (2)
