| 341430 | 2005-04-04 07:23:00 | Hi all. i have been using Sygate Firewall for a bit and have found it to be pretty good, my trial just ran out, and i am about to re-install it, but i was wondering what other free firewalls are out there that are considered decent... Cheers |

| 341439 | 2005-04-04 08:10:00 | ZA is the easiest to use hence recommended to most people. sygate etc are quite good however i suspect most people don't bother with makeing rules, its to darn difficult for most people. auto rule creation and preset rules dos help a fair bit. norton has to be the most comlicated pos around. sygate, tiny, outpost are OKish but they all have had their problems over the years. i havn't found ANY that havn't had problems, its certainly unfair to bag ZA as they are the most commanly used by the "whats a firewall" crowd, hence they will always have more problems. |
