| 341384 | 2005-04-04 05:45:00 | Anybody got any recommendations of audio recording freeware? My PC got badly contaminated this morning downloading one, thank goodness AVG spotted the viruses but I had to clean out over 100 other potential nasties. I just want to record the audio from a webcam without getting too much out of my depth technically.....in fact am I correct in assuming that I need additional software, I have WMP9. OS Win98SE. | 341386 | 2005-04-04 08:25:00 | http://www.goldwave.com Hi Chill I see that to try Goldwave is free -- but to buy is USD$45 ! Earlier you recommended something called VLC (I think it was !). Would that do what he wants for free ?? Yesterday I bought "Polderbits" for USD$29.95, which may do what Martynz wants (but am not sure !). Today it is more expensive as it moved to Euros and now costs 29.95 Euros. Misty  |

You can get it seperately, but you may as well get the entire OpenCD suite and enjoy more Open Source alternatives. theopencd.org hmmm, that link says to me that they're using Mambo, a great Open Source CMS :D |
