| 341310 | 2005-04-04 04:00:00 | I want to download some largish programmes, but have a slow and not too reliable rural dial up connection. Does anyone know of a web site where there is a selection available on CD for purchase? One programme is Adobe Reader 6.0.3 fo example, about 40mb. I used a website a while ago where they would burn items on just for the postage and CD cost, but unfortunately have mislaid the details. The free NZPCW cd does not help me as the latest programmes don't suit my O/S. Any help would be much appreciated. | Randolf (75) | ||

| 341314 | 2005-04-04 04:13:00 | There are other magazines which have cover disks of software. PCAuthority (usually 2 CDs) and Australian PC (DVD) both have good selections of software on their disks, and they are still under $10. I stopped buying the English magazines when they reached $30. :( | Graham L (2) | ||
