| 341273 | 2005-04-03 22:51:00 | Why is that telecom takes so long to switch the customers phone line to adsl. I signed up on 24th march and i was told by the isp that telecom sechudled it to switch the line on 8th of april. | krival96 (7003) | ||
| 341274 | 2005-04-03 23:14:00 | If you are connecting through another ISP other than Xtra then because they can. Xtra will do all their own customers first, then the other ISPs. Plus theres a lot of connections being done lately so its just your position in the queue really. And its not done by Telecom, its outsourced to companies like Downer. Who knows whether they are understaffed or whatever.... |

| 341276 | 2005-04-04 05:46:00 | Yep. They disconnect the wires and reroute them through some other equipment (or the connection to it) and then wire you back up. And then the guys at Telecom also enable it from their equipment in Christchurch. | pctek (84) | ||
