| 341223 | 2005-04-03 11:13:00 | I have an HP NX5000 notebook that has Wireless b networking on board. Can this be updated to to Wireless b/g ?? There is a removable flap on the base that I suspect houses the wireless module. |

| 341224 | 2005-04-04 00:18:00 | check website of your laptop maker. some laptops are without wifi in the past and can be upgraded to one so maybe your in luck .. would be easier if they use a standard interface like mini pci..... IMO i think it maybe unlikely they support a new wifi card for you for an older model. my guess is the old ones are fitted with the b series and the newer laptops fitted with the newer g ones.... what you might be able to do is find out what sort of card it is .. if its a industry standard like a mini pci .. you could take the risk and source this online such as trademe or ebay as theses are pretty hard to get and expensive from the maker and get hold of the drivers.... |
