341649 2005-04-05 05:43:00 How am I supposed to delete these? THe ones you mentioned other than the random changing file.

Tick those entries and click on fix.

Then reboot. If they appear again do the same thing in safe mode.

341650 2005-04-05 05:45:00 You know, if it was me, seeing as you have been stuffing around with this for a while now, reformat and reinstall windows.
Get a firewall, anti-spyware etc before you start.
Begin with a clean fresh install.
Prevention (and quick maintenance) is less headache than trying to repair it.

341651 2005-04-05 06:01:00 I'm ready to do whatever is the next step. Should I run another hijack or l2mfix log? MasturJeff (7803)

I did that with hijack log and it didn't work. They wouldn't delete.

341654 2005-04-05 06:11:00 OK turn system restore OFF for now, then try it again.

If that doesnt work get Trojan Remover ( if u havent tried it yet). See what that does.

Where do I turn system restore off?

Also, where do I get the trojan remover afterwards?

And your data isn't backed up? That's asking for grief... what if your hard drive failed or you got a virus that wiped everything out?

I agree with pctek - you're getting nowhere fast so unless you want to take the computer to a technician to get it fixed then reformat the thing. Either get another hard drive and backup your stuff onto it or start burning CDs or DVDs.

341657 2005-04-05 06:39:00 I have good news, the pop-ups seem to be slowing down. Only a little bit have come up so far... the rate has dropped down tremendously. MasturJeff (7803)

Download, update and do a scan. And then go to the utilities menu select the 3,4,5,6th option (one by one). Close the browser/s. My computer / right mouse / system restore, tick the option. Turn it back on later.

You're not running Windows Messenger on bootup too are you?? As this can spam as well....
