| 341307 | 2005-04-03 23:27:00 | I'm in process of building a new system. When I boot up, I have about 5 seconds, then it shuts down. Just about the time when the HDD spins up, it dies. I've tried other drives, so that's not the issue. I've taken out all components to try to isolate the problem, but, it still happens. any ideas? |

Is the CPU heatsink seated correctly (overheat protection shutdown). Is your ram seated correctly and have you tested the ram? Do you get a display (however briefly)? Is all the hardware new or do you have some 2nd hand stuff you are using? More info, please. |

| 341309 | 2005-04-04 00:03:00 | Have you actually tried another power supply? It may be best to try a different Power Supply. If it still doesn't work then we know the problem is elsewhere, if it does work thn problem solved :D cheers chiefnz |
