341217 2005-04-03 13:26:00 i am posting to request some information regarding the origins of the visualisations in media player, specifically reasons for their inclusion in the software. Were there any underlying factors relating to their inclusion, such as public demand/suggestion, educational purposes, or simply aesthetic intentions? were visualisations present in the first release of media player or are they a relatively new idea? any answers to these questions, particularly those relating to the reasons behind the initial inclusion of visualisations in media player, or links to relevant sites providing this information, would be most gratefully received.
thank

341218 2005-04-03 21:45:00 Yer most probably to make it look pretty or something . And beat to whatever music u have .

There's only been 4 versions of WMP (I think)? 6 . 4, 7,9,10 .

And I'm pretty sure most versions had some kind of visualisation in it . I spose most programs have some kind of visualisation, since it'll be kinda boring, with just the program . . . .

The answers are most probably on the MS site somewhere .

I would say it was either public demand (or MS just decided to catch up with the rest of the world) . Following other programs, that use the same kind of visualisation .
