| 342003 | 2005-04-05 23:22:00 | If an analog mouse is the old mouse (mechanical), the advantage of having an optical mouse is, it doesnt need cleaning and doesnt need a mouse pad either. | Speedy Gonzales (78) | ||
| 342004 | 2005-04-05 23:23:00 | I'd go for optical over a mouse with balls any time. The neutered optical variety are more accurate, don't pick up fluff and grit on their balls, are not suceptible to mechnical wear and can see in the dark. | Murray P (44) | ||

I had one where the scroll wheel stuffed out. Mechanically. |

| 342009 | 2005-04-05 23:37:00 | I have to prove to my Manager the advantages of an optical over an analog. eg dpi accuracy etc.I would go for an optical mouse every time - no cleaning, no need for a mouse pad. I'd actually go for a cordless optical, I would never go back now. As far as functionality/accuracy is concerned, what sort of applications are you running where mouse dpi accuracy is a critical concern? | Tony (4941) | ||

Anyway how about this, a clogged ball mouse won't move smoothly leading to extra force pushing and more hand movements therefore increased chnace of RSI. Not to mention increased stress as you get *&%^$$ with the thing. |
