OK. Hmm it looks like its trying to boot off the first partition maybe? which is why its giving u that error? If there's nothing on Partition 1.

Can u delete Partition 1?? or

Can u make C the active or system partition, with the recovery console??
(I take it C should have windows on it).

I dont know what the recovery console has in it. I've never used it.

341755 2005-04-04 23:32:00 I deleted the first partition and the same thing happends the recovery console helps you to recover windows and boot it. If I am able to run chkdsk in the recovery console everything should work fine but I am unable to do so do you know anything about chkdsk or should I just try to format and reinstall but then I would lose alot of information let me know. Thanks ajonline (7761)
341756 2005-04-04 23:42:00 Ok. Have u got a spare IDE hard drive?? With windows or something on it.

If u have, u could put it in as master, and see if u can access the SATA, once u get into windows. And then format the SATA?

Nope I know nothing about chkdsk. Never had to use this either.

Just what it says on the MS site.

Did u try chkdsk c: /r in the recovery console? And I take it, it found no errors?
