| 341949 | 2005-04-05 11:53:00 | Hi... My grandaughters computer is driving me nuts. I've fished all sorts of baddies out of it but I know that there are more. The dialler works, sometimes. Then starts to do a normal dial up the ends with a complete system restart. I think it's time for a clean install of XP and although I got quite good at reinstalling 98 I'm not so sure with XP. Anyway, trying to look ahead I see that the modem is a Generic 56K HCF data / fax modem. Any suggestions on how to find a driver for that. Or does XP include a driver ready to go with such a model. Thanks a bunch for any help with this. Ken |
