| 342495 | 2005-04-07 09:41:00 | after reformatting and loading xp again i would like some ideas on what to have in my desktop tool box as i said i have xp with sp2 pc-cillin sygate firewall ad-aware se spybot runing mozilla firefox as my browser and mozilla thunderbird as my e-mail should i have any thing else loaded i would like to have a very usable fortress any ideas would be wellcomed |

| 342498 | 2005-04-07 10:20:00 | If PC-Cillin has a firewall with it it is probably not a good idea to run both that and Sygate. You are going to be busy doing updates for everything, getting a bit ridiculous the number of programs that are required and need to to be run and updated all the time. As well as Windows, Firefox and Thunderbird updates you will need to update AVG if you add that as well as SpywareBlaster, Spybot, Ad-Aware, and PC- Cillin There are others you could add but you are well covered with what you have and you have to draw the line somewhere if you want to get time to do anything useful on your computer. |
