| 342472 | 2005-04-07 09:06:00 | I only get random text, none of which I have typed at all. Firefox 1.0.1 on FreeBSD 4.11. Will try again after typing up this message. Still nothing. Same here using Linux, will have a look with windows tomorrow. Use IE 5.5!! So many replies on this forum, when anyone has problems with anything, say, use Firefox or Mozilla or anything else - load of rubbish - my opinion anyway. Bye Lol Peter, this is a moderately critical vulnerability that is being patched as we read. There are similarly rated vulnerabilities in IE that are much older and yet to see a patch and, if I wanted to dig a bit, I could probably find older and more serious ones. MS has admitted as much that IE is well past it's use by date, unfortunately when the new version comes out, the majority of MS's OS users will not be able to use it. BTW, I'm not trying to downplay the seriousness of vulnerabilites in FF or any other software as compared to IE, nor do I see any point in trying to wrench you from your prefered app's, I'm just highlighting that they seem to be fixed that much faster and tend to have less affect on the operating system (well it does in Linux anyway ;) ). |

If you have JavaScript disabled, then you wont have the immediate problem, and you wont see any test results. Disabling JavaScript is the work around at the moment to inhibit the flaw. |
