1382689 2014-08-28 05:26:00 I want to import a jpg into a programme but I can't upload it as it says the file can't be any larger than 2M.

Is there any way that I can reduce the size of the file so that I can upload it?

Thanks for your help.

1382690 2014-08-28 05:57:00 Lots of ways, one is to open the file with this http://www.irfanview.com/ and use it's resize function. Save a copy of the file somewhere if you want to retain the original or be sure to use the save as function to make a new file.
Reducing colour depth also makes the files smaller but depending on the results you want may not give the best quality.

1382693 2014-08-29 05:20:00 Thanks very much, gentlemen, for your help. I used your suggestion, Wainui, and it did a great job, thank you. I am now able to upload it as it is now smaller than 2M. Really appreciated. Roscoe (6288)
1382694 2014-09-03 15:12:00 You can use photoshop to reduce its size to just medium or low-quality. allenbgelinas (17273)

Indeed you can.. if you happen to own a copy of Photoshop. If you don't there are other free software programs that will do it. Gimp is one of those :)
