1369327 2014-03-04 00:28:00 I'm looking for a Walkman CD player., hesitant about purchasing used .
there doesn't appear to be any new ones in NZ or OZ, I think they were discontinued some time ago.
I can get one from the U.S. but not sure whether the charger will be suitable for NZ?
Anybody any thoughts please?

1369328 2014-03-04 00:46:00 You could try the warehouse although I'd say they were discontinued because people stopped buying them. I didn't know that people still bought music CDs Webdevguy (17166)

Tried them, the last one they sold was Xmas.....2012!
Agree now obsolete but my wife currently suffering from eye problems and is using audio(cd) books from the library.
Her arthritic fingers make it difficult to use an MP3 player I had transferred the cd tracks to. 1

I have one I don't use but it runs from batteries only, not mains. If it would be useful, PM.

Last night a neighbour brought across a portable cd player which is doing the job perfectly hence one happy wife and one happy me

1369333 2014-03-04 21:39:00 You could also have considered a more finger friendly MP3 player of some kind, although they do all tend to either be tiny and awkward or large and expensive.
A Cheap smartphone with a touchscreen and a player app with large buttons might work for example.

I don't even remember what happened to the portable CD player I had, it had horrible little buttons anyway.
There are also many cheap portable stereos with CD players and headphone outputs that would do in a pinch although less portable.
