Have tried many over the years and they all worked for a while then started asking for all sorts of add ons or different browsers or other BS!

1369311 2014-03-04 00:11:00 Freemake video converter is good enough for me. Its free. And you can paste the youtube URL in it. Only thing is at the end of whatever you convert it adds a freemake.com logo. But thats fine with me . I'll probably edit it out. Or I stop it before it gets to the end anyway. So I wont see it

Only thing is you have to make sure you do a custom install. Otherwise it'll install the crap / 3rd party programs as well. I did pay for Aimersoft Video editor. Since it was cheap at the time.

I could probably use something like Ant Video downloader to download it and use this program to load it and export / save it in another format

1369315 2014-03-04 01:20:00 savemedia.com is the best
I use keepvid.com as a second when savemedia won't work

1369316 2014-03-04 01:28:00 Would use keepvid but it needs Java. Which isnt installed and wont be installed on any of these. And savemedia needs Java as well Speedy Gonzales (78)

Thanks Speedy - think will stick with the current version in the meantime - they get a bit too cleaver with hiding the crap in the updated ones!
It's actually quite a nice bit if software.
