1368902 2014-02-26 23:04:00 Think they are a little late with this one www.telecom.co.nz Been there, done that, its been out since last year ( at least) on all mobile phones / Tablets --

The Free version has, but I guess if they want to push the Premium version for Free to customers -
Free my ass
:tui:

Its only on certain plans which will have the cost built in. ;) The normal cost for premium is $12.99 /Month

Streaming music does use mobile data, so it's best to stream when you have a WiFi connection available. If you have broadband at home, that's a great place to start. Plus, if you're on any of our Ultra Mobile monthly plans or selected Prepaid packs, you'll also get 1GB of WiFi a day for free, at over 700 hotspots nationwide.

Each song "streamed /downloaded" is between 4-7 MB

1368903 2014-02-27 00:50:00 Never used it, heard the add and was interested but I don't qualify, then Wainui points out it's already free..... Giant non-event really. I'm not changing to a more expensive plan to get something I have never needed untill now dugimodo (138)
1368904 2014-02-27 01:20:00 The free version has the Odd advert in between songs. The premium version doesn't.

It wont be free as Spark advertise, it will be built into the persons plan. Spark will no doubt will have some sort of deal, at a really low cost so the plan wont be largely effected price wise. With the way the telco's change plans who would know :)

1368905 2014-02-27 01:28:00 It's "free" on prepay top ups for the $29 package and above and on post pay plans $59 upwards - probably enough of a profit margin in those plans to cover whatever they are paying for it. I use the $19 a month prepay option with the occasional data top-up. More than enough for me.

I must have another try at tethering though, I top up a T-stick and my phone once a month because the phone is not as fast or consistant. Would make sense to consolidate the 2 and get my free spotify service I'll never use.

1368906 2014-02-27 02:33:00 I use Spotify all the time and pay for it happily. No adds, higher audio quality and I can listen offline. If I was on the $19 prepay play (I use a company phone/plan)and had a spotify sub, it would be a few $$ cheaper to jump on their $29 plan. I think they will have a lot of success with it, it's a good deal. Alex B (15479)

1368910 2014-02-27 11:36:00 All I saw was "Free" and then dollar signs with numbers other than zero after them. To me that doesn't make sense. Agent_24 (57)
