| 1368794 | 2014-02-26 05:47:00 | The Government in its wisdom wants to make Electronic Stability control mandatory on new cars. This will enable idiots who have no idea how to control a motor vehicle to drive at high speed. One day the control will fail, or they will drive a car without stability control and there will be a disaster. What is wrong with being able to control a vehicle without assistance? In the case of a car running off the road on a corner who/what will be to blame, the driver or the Electronic Stability Control? |

| 1368803 | 2014-02-26 20:12:00 | The Government is just showing its ignorance again because if you are driving within the law there is little to be gained, other than in a panic stop where ABS may at times give you a slight advantage. However, the gadgetry they are bringing out is quite impressive. The Son has just purchased a brand new vehicle with this automatic parking facility. Must say I was impressed the way it found a parallel park you could fit in and backed in exactly right. I just hope like hell the computer doesn’t decide to steer on the open road because the steering wheel goes from lock to lock at lightning speed. :D |
