343505 2005-04-10 22:22:00 Just downloaded and installed Mozilla Firefox ver 1.0.2. It is great and I like it.

I encountered a small problem - it doesn't add a shortcut to my 'Quick Launch' bar during installation, although I did put a tick to the box during installation.

I tried manually drag & drop the shorcut (from the desktop) to the Quick Launch bar but it refuses to 'go in' . Is there other way to add it to this quick launch bar as I find it convenient to launch from there?

OS: XP Pro with SP2.

Cheers

343507 2005-04-11 00:54:00 Have you checked to make sure your toolbars aren't locked?.
Right click on your toolbar and make sure theres no tick besides "Lock The Toolbar".
Not sure if this makes a difference in your situation but wouldnt hurt to check.

343508 2005-04-11 01:01:00 It should still let u add files, whether the launch bar is locked or not .

It's only when u cant see an icon, on the launch bar that u need to unlock it .

So, you can move the icons across on the launch bar . Then lock it again .

Some people don't realise that you need to click on the little arrows at the right of the quick launch bar to see the rest of the icons and thus not realise they are actually there.

Firefox wld have put its icon there but the arrow was showing, so u would have had to unlock move then lock.

343511 2005-04-11 02:21:00 If you are on Windows XP, you may also want to add /prefetch:1 (as shown below) to enable faster loading times.

"C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\firefox.exe" /prefetch:1
