2005-04-09 23:56:00 After a big crash & reinstalling W.ME I now only have the option of 640 x 480 resolution.Been through all the options in Windows Help as well as Display Settings with no luck.Obviously I now have to do something to the BIOS settings.Where & what do I change? My screen says AMIBIOS SIMPLE SETUP UTILITY V.1.21.12 (c)2000 American Megatrends. I take it I would be looking somewhere in Advanced Setup. Yes??? amyes5 (2773)
2005-04-10 00:02:00 Find out the make/brand of the video card on your system, and download the videocard driver for it.

Its the videocard drivers, that let u change the resolution.

Nope the resolution has nothing to do with the BIOS settings.

2005-04-10 00:03:00 Do you also have a driver for a graphics card that also needs to be installed. You can look in BIOS (usually it is in advanced) but if you get no joy from that, I would be looking for a driver Myth (110)
2005-04-10 00:09:00 This computer only has " on board" video .There is no specific card.Would getting one solve the problem? amyes5 (2773)
2005-04-10 00:14:00 The intergrated video chipset still requires a driver, and by the sounds of it you haven't loaded on any of the motherboard drivers, either find the supplied cd or download them from the board manufacturers website. Metla (12)
2005-04-10 00:25:00 use everest (www.lavalys.com) to find out what type of intergrated graphics you have. everest will tell you everything about your pc Prescott (11)
2005-04-10 00:36:00 Do the display settings identify your monitor correctly? Maybe that is having an effect. Tony (4941)
2005-04-10 07:53:00 I have run Everest & whereas in one computer in the Display heading there is info in the GPU folder,in the faulty one however there is no info.If I get drivers etc will this section then contain info....OR does it mean I have a real problem elsewhere? amyes5 (2773)
