Yesterday i booted my PC, and my mouse and keyboard weren't responding...checked connections, nothing. Did a cold shutdown, and now it wont boot up. A week ago everytime i'd turn my PC on the BIOS would pop up askin to put F1 to continue, oe DEL to enter set up..........Floppy somthin failed. Askin me to disable my BIOS to upgrade, so i went to esupport, and di there thing. But my PC doesn't boot.....all the fans a what not are running, but the green light surrounding the power button doesn't come on anymore. I shut everthing down, and i put my ear by the power supply/main power cord, and i hear this slight hummm, then I pull out the power cord and its gone. I dont know what i could be....i pulled out my RAM, Graphics Card, and pulled the battery out an let it sit, and i still have a black screen, but the monitor is powered on, and sometimes the set up for the Res. and what not will pop on. I need help for this big time, Might be the power supply?? Not getting enough Volts?? idunno.........HEEELLLPPP

Very incoherent.
So your floppy drive was originally not working, then you updated the BIOS? And now it doesn't boot at all? Is that correct?
What did you do exactly?

344260 2005-04-14 20:55:00 ok the other day i tried turning it on, and nothing happend, just sat there no fans nothing. So i got a new power supply and everything turns on but it still wont boot?? Still gives me a black screen.

No i didn't update the BIOS, i just went to esupport.com a sent a request on how to upgrade.

I dont know whats the problem, i was workin on the PC one day, and then the next afternoon i go to turn it on and it doesn't boot up??

344261 2005-04-15 01:37:00 Evereything turns on? Can you hear the hard drive loading up?
If so, its likely to be a graphics problem.

If not, well, pull everything out except what you need to boot, ie CPU ram, graphics.
Still not booting?

Try another piece of ram (if you only have one) if you have two, try them individually one at a time.

Try another graphics card if its not onboard graphics.
If it is onboard, and you remove everything and its not RAM or PSU then you're probably stuck with it being the MB.

The PC will still boot even without a HDD, floppy or CD drive and also withut mouse. It will boot without KB too but of course, give you an error about there being none.
